Welcome to Faith Alive Bible College! Wherever you find yourself in your walk with God, Faith Alive is a place where you can continue to grow as you get saturated in the Word and Spirit of God. I first walked through the doors at FABC in 2005 as a young missionary to Guatemala. My firsthand ministry experience had deepened my love for God and people while opening my eyes to new perspectives and cultures. At the same time, I was confronted with just how much more I needed to learn if I truly wanted to walk in the calling of God. I needed to step back, take stock of my experience in light of God’s Word, and build a foundation for successful life and ministry. Many of us can identify with the young prophet Jeremiah. He felt overwhelmed by the high calling placed on his life and began to list off all the “legitimate reasons” why he was underqualified for the task (Jer. 1:6). I know I’ve felt that way many times. Jeremiah’s excuses didn’t fly with God, however, and neither do ours. He knows us better than we know ourselves. God isn’t ignorant of our weaknesses but promises to empower us despite them. Jeremiah was called to pluck up, break down, to destroy and overthrow before he was to build and plant (Jer. 1:10). We too are called to tear down every thought and opinion we hold until we hit the rock-solid foundation of Christ (2 Cor. 10:4-5). Only then can we confidently build for the kingdom of God according to God’s eternal plan. Embrace God’s transforming call and join us as we seek His kingdom together! - Dr. Adam Biro
